Creating an EP cover that’s inspired by the music itself
Noise Model is an electronic music producer from London, UK. He primarily works across house and techno, creating music specifically for the dance floor. The name Noise Model comes from Max’s professional background as an acoustic engineer, referring to the noise diagrams used by acousticians.
3D Melter is Noise Model’s debut EP, released on streaming platforms in summer 2020.
I was given the opportunity to be the first designer to represent Max’s music visually, designing an EP cover and other supporting deliverables. Most of the creative decisions, such as the colour scheme and illustrative elements, came to me while listening to the demo tracks from the EP. The final designs are a visual representation of Noise Model’s sound, as well as his background as an acoustic engineer.
