Creating an EP cover that’s inspired by the music itself
NOISE MODEL
Noise Model is an electronic music producer from London, UK. He primarily focuses on house and techno genres and aims to create sound specifically for dance floors. The artist name of Noise Model comes from Max’s professional background as an acoustic engineer and refers to the actual noise diagrams used by acousticians. 3D Melter is Noise Model’s debut EP that was released on streaming platforms in the summer of 2020.
I was given the opportunity to be the first designer to represent Max’s music visually by designing him an EP cover and other deliverables. A majority of creative decisions, such as colour scheme and illustrative elements, came to me while listening to the demo tracks of this EP. Final designs are simply a visual representation of Noise Model’s sound as well as his background as an acoustic engineer.
